Text with Supporting Visuals (The Prototype)

At last!

Sophie and I have just merged our individual works together. Please have a look and comment:

the-abc-of-chinese-culture.ppt

Needless to say, it is far from OK, especially for those who are more familiar with ICT than us.

It’s not always easy to convert information and knowledge into visuals, isn’t it?

And yes, ours is a big project. So, pray for us!

    your representation is very nice,clear and neat together. For me, interactive action with viewer would be prominent to attract others, however it is good enough.

    The presentation is informative. But I still have some suggestions for your group: (1)the excessive content prevents you from having intense dedication to the task, would the presentation be focused on one or two topics of chinese culture? (2)instead of the introduction text in the “Calligraphy” part, would the picture of the “Four Treasures in the Study” be enlarged with the detailed illustration by the hotspot effect? (3)would there be some piece of work for the different styles of calligraphy and calligraphers? (4) would the demonstration movie for the skill of producing artistic chinese handwriting be added in the “How do people learn to do Chinese Calligraphy?” part? Hope my suggestions is useful to your presentation.

    Just a few comments on your project.

    [About the PowerPoint Slides]
    - The PowerPoint Slides are neatly presented.
    - The “sound icon” seems to indicate that there may have narration, isn’t it?
    - Will your group use PointPoint as the final file format?

    [About the Video explaning the "scripts"]
    - narration or on-screen text is recommended to be included in the Video. This helps to let the audience know what the main theme is showing.
